Tiger Woods to play in 2018 National at TPC Potomac
Tiger Woods announced today that he will play in the 2018 National to be held June 25-July 1 at TPC Potomac. Tickets for the tournament are on-sale now.
“I am really looking forward to being back in the D.C. area this summer playing in The National,” Woods said. “As a two-time champion of this event benefiting my foundation, The National has always been a special event for me.”
In December, Woods returned to competitive golf at the Hero World Challenge and since then has competed in five events during the PGA TOUR’s 2017-18 season. As a two-time champion of The National (2009 and 2012), Woods last competed in the tournament in 2015.
This summer, The National will return to TPC Potomac for the second time in tournament history. Last year, Kyle Stanley defeated Charles Howell III in a one-hole playoff at TPC Potomac. The win was Stanley’s second career PGA TOUR victory.
Tickets for the 2018 National are now on sale. Starting at just $15, all ticket options are available here. New in 2018, all competition round grounds tickets are valid any one day, providing an added level of flexibility for fans. Upgraded ticket options include the Independence Pavilion on 16 green, Trophy Club and cabanas on 17 tee and Capital Club, an all-inclusive option on 18 green.
