Entering Sunday’s final round, the crowded leaderboard was full of competitors trying to close out their first victory on the PGA TOUR and Tiger Woods looking for his first win since 2013. Tiger finished with tied fourth after shooting a round of 66 on Sunday. Tiger and the field tried to make a charge at Molinari but all were ultimately unable to keep up. Molinari opened his round with a modest 2 under 33 on the front but sensing victory was near, he turned it on with eagle at the par 5 10th and ultimately tamed the famed “Beast of the Beltway” TPC Potomac course with a blistering 29 on the back nine.
